Send the script or approximate word count, project type, usage, markets, term, timeline, and whether you need a live-directed voice over session. I’ll confirm availability, ask any missing questions, and provide a clear quote. You can book me directly for many projects or through my talent representation when that best fits your production workflow.
-
Request a free voice over quote through my contact form or by emailing laya@layahoffman.com. Include the script or word count, where the audio will run, geographic markets, campaign or license term, deadline, session type, and requested deliverables. My standard non-broadcast rate begins at $500 for the first finished minute plus $100 for each additional minute, per script; final pricing depends on usage, terms, and scope. For Non-Union Broadcast work, I adhere to the GVAA Rate guide which is the industry standard.
-
Before recording, I need the approved script, performance direction, pronunciation notes, intended audience, usage and distribution details, deadline, and technical delivery specs. Please also share references such as a rough cut, storyboard, music track, prior campaign, or brand voice guide when available. For live sessions, I’ll confirm the connection platform and attendees. The clearer the creative target, the faster we can make the words sound exactly the way you imagined them.
-
I’ll review your scope, confirm availability, and respond with any essential questions about usage, timing, creative direction, or deliverables. Once the rate, usage, terms, and mutual agreement or client contract are approved, we schedule the live session or I record independently. Directed clients receive my Calendly link after booking. Final files are delivered without watermarks through a secure transfer service in your preferred format.
-
Often, very quickly. Once the script, usage, rate, terms, and creative direction are confirmed, standard turnaround is 24 hours or less during normal East Coast business hours. As a full-time voice actor, I may also be available for ASAP recordings during evenings, weekends, or holidays for a rush fee based on scope. Directed clients can choose an available session time through the Calendly link I provide after booking.

I work directly with brands, founders, marketing leaders, and in-house creative teams on campaigns, corporate communications, explainers, product stories, events, IVR, and ongoing brand voice programs. I work under Financial Core (Fi-Core) status with SAG-AFTRA. As a dues-paying nonmember, I’m eligible to accept both union and non-union voice-over projects. Because I’m based in Georgia, a right-to-work state, I can offer productions additional flexibility when navigating either type of contract. In short: union or non-union, let’s talk—I can help determine the right booking path for your project.

Delivery is handled through a secure file transfer service.
-
Yes. My standard delivery is raw audio cleaned of mistakes, without creative processing or watermarking. For self-directed projects, I provide three complete takes in similar delivery styles plus multiple options on key lines, all in your preferred format. If your editor needs completely unedited session audio, line-split files, or additional production work, include that in the scope so I can build delivery around the workflow.
-
I can match the energy, pacing, emotional intention, audience relationship, and production style of an established campaign while keeping the performance authentically mine. Share prior spots, brand guidelines, a scratch track, music, or descriptive references such as warm, wry, luxe, grounded, or authoritative. I do not clone or impersonate another performer; I translate the creative target into an original, ownable voice for your brand.

Voice Over Services Questions
-
Yes. Commercial voice over is a core specialty. I record for television, radio, streaming, digital, social media, internet, and multi-channel campaigns across local, regional, national, and global markets. My sound can be conversational and current, warm and sincere, polished and authoritative, bright and upbeat, wry and sarcastic, or smoky and luxurious—with the instinct to make the copy connect instead of simply making noise.
-
Yes. I record corporate narration for internal communications, training, e-learning, product and pitch videos, manifestos, sizzle reels, brand films, presentations, and executive communications. I’m especially skilled at making complex material sound clear, human, and easy to follow—authoritative when it needs weight, conversational when it needs trust, and always connected to the audience.
-
Absolutely. I voice animated explainers, product demos, how-to videos, e-learning, tutorials, and technical storytelling for audiences ranging from consumers to subject-matter experts. Financial, medical, technology, automotive, and IT content benefits from a performance that is clear and credible without sounding like a lecture. That balance—smart, warm, and genuinely listenable—is one of my favorite things to deliver.
-
Yes. I provide political voice over for Democratic and progressive campaigns, issue advocacy, candidate profiles, contrast spots, voter education, digital ads, radio, television, and get-out-the-vote messaging. The delivery can be compassionate, credible, urgent, grounded, or forceful depending on the moment. Share the campaign, market, usage, and deadline so I can confirm alignment and availability.
-
Yes. I record ADR and looping for film and television, including replacement dialogue, reactions, efforts, group or background texture, and performance pickups. I can work in a directed remote session or coordinate with an Atlanta studio partner when the production requires a specific room or setup. Timing, continuity, emotional truth, and clean technical execution all matter—and I bring all four.
-
Yes. I record IVR, auto-attendant prompts, call routing, voicemail greetings, on-hold messaging, and complete phone system packages. A clear, warm, current voice can make even a wait feel more human while keeping callers informed and on brand. I can deliver individual, consistently named files in the format your telephony platform requires and return later for updates that match the original sound.
-
Yes. I record television promos, network imaging, sports and entertainment promos, streaming campaigns, and movie trailers. My range moves from intimate comedy and warm invitation to suspense, grit, gravitas, and hard-hitting energy. The NHL hired me as its first female promo announcer, and I bring that same precision, musicality, and impact to every tune-in and trailer read.
-
Yes. I work as a live announcer, emcee, and Voice of God—my preferred remix is Voice of Goddess—for award shows, corporate meetings, galas, honoree events, launches, sports, and celebrations. I can be behind the scenes, client facing, on stage or on camera, even interviewing guests, VIPs and celebrities from the red carpet. I’m available live in Atlanta, on location worldwide, remotely in real time, or by prerecorded file. Brands including Delta Air Lines have trusted me to guide major events with clarity, confidence, warmth, and exactly the right amount of electricity.
Pricing & Business Questions
-
My standard non-broadcast rate is $500 for the first finished minute plus $100 for each additional minute, per script. It includes up to one hour of live or self-directed recording and two complimentary script changes of 10% or less per script within 10 days of delivery; each additional recording hour is $200. Final rates depend on usage and terms, are informed by the GVAA Rate Guide, and may be negotiated for bulk packages. Extra Questions — Recommended
-
Absolutely. Vocal versatility is one of my signatures. I can move from warm, sincere, and conversational to polished, authoritative, bright, wry, snarky, intimate, luxurious, gritty, or high-energy—and shift age, pace, texture, and intensity without losing authenticity. Share a few adjectives, a reference, or the emotional response you want from the audience, and we’ll find the flavor that fits.
-
A voice over quote includes permission to use the recording only for the media, markets, audience, and term we agree on. Final rates are contingent on that usage and are informed by the GVAA Rate Guide. If a campaign expands or continues beyond the original license, we can arrange an extension or renewal. My mutual agreement also includes AI protections: AI training, voice cloning, synthetic reuse, and digital-replica rights are not included in standard usage and require a separate written agreement.
-
Yes—and long-term brand partnerships are some of my favorite work. As an ongoing brand voice, I can maintain consistency across campaigns, corporate content, product launches, events, promos, and phone systems while keeping the performance fresh. We can document pronunciation, tone, pacing, file specs, and approval preferences so future sessions move faster and every touchpoint still sounds unmistakably like you.
-
My work spans automotive, travel and hospitality, food and beverage, consumer goods, technology, finance, healthcare, education, beauty, apparel, sports, entertainment, and professional services. Brands including Coca-Cola, Nike, Google, Honda, Accenture, Royal Caribbean, Delta Air Lines, and many others have trusted me to make their message clear and memorable. The common thread is not the industry—it’s a story that deserves to connect.
-
A professional voice actor understands context, subtext, timing, audience, and the emotional reason behind every line. I can take direction in real time, make nuanced choices, protect continuity across versions, and respond when the creative changes—while delivering broadcast-quality audio and clear, consent-based licensing. AI-generated voices may imitate sound, but they do not bring lived instinct, accountability, or a genuine creative partnership. My standard agreements do not grant AI or digital-replica rights; those require a separate written agreement.
-
Yes. I routinely sign client-provided NDAs and also offer a mutual agreement when the client does not provide one. My agreement documents the rate, final usage, licensing terms, confidentiality, and AI protections, including that no digital-replica rights are granted without a separate written agreement. Send any client paperwork before files are shared or the session begins so we can keep production moving.
-
Yes. I record technical, medical, healthcare, financial, IT, and other information-dense scripts. My job is to make complex language sound clear, credible, and conversational without flattening its meaning. Please provide approved copy, pronunciation guidance for specialized terms, and access to a subject-matter expert when accuracy depends on company- or product-specific language.
-
Yes. I’m experienced with specialized terminology across healthcare, technology, finance, automotive, hospitality, education, and corporate communications. I research unfamiliar words and welcome pronunciation guides, phonetic spellings, reference recordings, or a quick read-through with your subject-matter expert. For proprietary names, acronyms, or regional pronunciations, client confirmation is the gold standard.
-
Yes. For self-directed projects, I provide three complete takes in similar delivery styles plus multiple takes of key lines. I can also record alternate tones, revised tags, multiple calls to action, market versions, length cutdowns, or pronunciation options. Tell me exactly what you need and how files should be labeled; additional scripts, versions, or performance directions are priced according to scope.
-
Yes. I can read to a target runtime, match picture, work against a scratch track, and flag copy that is likely to feel rushed or exceed the available time. My background as a house-music DJ and radio host gives me an instinctive ear for cadence, tempo, and the space a message needs to land. When copy changes are required, final wording remains subject to client approval.
